General Information
The Awards program is very popular with DSDCTA members and is celebrated
with a luncheon and presentation ceremony at the end of the show season. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules and requirements.
Report any discrepancies in standings to the appropriate awards chair.
The competition year begins on October 1st and ends on September 30th. Only shows occurring during the competition year will be included
for purposes of the Awards Program.
COMPLETE RULES (2012)
Reporting
For 2011, competitors were required to copy the front of their test(s), clearly showing the name and result(s), and mail, or scan and email, to the Awards Chairperson.
For 2012, scores from any DSDCTA sponsored show will automatically be submitted to the Awards Chairperson by the show
secretary. It is the member's responsibility to check the website and ensure scores were received and posted accurately.
Scores from non-DSDCTA shows must be submitted to the Awards Chairperson within 45 days of being earned. After
45 days there will be a $25 penalty fee per test to be eligible for current show year.
Two options for submitting scores:
- Tests can be mailed, or scanned and emailed, to the DSDCTA Awards Chairperson.
- The score sheets MUST include: name of show, date, horse's name, rider name, score and signature of judge(s). Any age specific class needs date of birth information or approximate
if not sure.
- Rather than sending copies of qualifying tests to the Awards Chairperson for USDF shows, riders may instead simply notify the Awards
Chairperson via email. The member should ensure their USDF numbers are recorded and posted on the website's membership page.
- The Awards Chairperson will look up all scores earned during the competition year on the USDF website using the member's
USDF member number.
