Competitor Information
The Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships welcomes over 400 horses and riders to compete over the course of the three days of competition. Please find below all the information that you should need for you and your horse's stay.
Showground Access
Horses may arrive on the showground as early as Tuesday, October 12th. The entrance will be open 24 hours a day during the show.
Stabling
Stabling is mandatory. 450 permanent 12 x 12 stalls with gates will be available on the showground at $200 per stall for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Extra nights are $40 per stall per night.
Although bedding may be in your stall from previous occupants, bedding is not provided. If required, additional bedding may be purchased from the show office at $9 per bag. Bedding ordered on your entry blank will be at your stall upon arrival. Please pre-order bedding on your entry blank when possible.
Nightwatch is required for all overnight stabling. Security personnel will be on the grounds each night Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A night watchman will be on duty with continuous rounds all night. Please make sure you have all contact information posted on your stall [i.e. hotel, cell number, etc.] Stall cards will be provided. There will be no security watch for early arrivals or late departures.

Lodging & Camping
Full service RV hook-ups are available on the show grounds for competitors or owners of horses competing at the Championships who wish to camp on the showgrounds. Competitors should indicate their intention to camp on the Official Entry Form and should contact the show office upon arrival.

New Helmet Rule
Effective March 1, 2011, for dressage: Anyone mounted on a horse must wear protective headgear except those riders age 18 and over while on horses that are competing only in FEI levels and tests at the Prix St. Georges level and above (including FEI Young Rider Tests, the USEF Developing Prix St. Georges Test and the USEF Brentina Cup Test).

Discounts for five or more horses in the same location. No charge for putting on neck covers (jemmies) or tail wraps. Fuel charges apply when travel exceeds one hour.

WNC Photography will be the official photographer for the 2011 GAIG/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships.
If you are interested in photographs you can sign up ahead of time or at the show.
WNC Photography is offering a prepaid option that includes all photographs taken on CD. By signing up in advance and using the prepaid option you can save $15 off of the regular price. You must take advantage of the prepaid option by 8 AM on Thursday, October 13th.
Your CD will be mailed to you after the show. Each image is a 100% full resolution file with full copyrights; including printing rights.

Entries
Please fill out entry blanks completely and correctly, including signatures. If you have questions about completing the forms or membership requirements, please contact the show secretary, Lloyd Landkamer before sending in your entry at 612.290.8523, via Email or Fax 763.420.7051. Fax fee is $5.00. The opening date for entries is August 1, 2011.

Ride Times and Scores
All ride times are considered to be tentative. Times will be posted the day before the show after 9:00 AM at the show grounds. Times are tentative and it is the rider’s responsibility to know their final ride times, as times change due to scratches. Consult posted times each day on grounds for up-to-date times.
